January 17, 2021 marked 52 years since Alprentice ‘Bunchy’ Carter was assassinated at UCLA with John Huggins.

Bunchy Carter is a seldom celebrated figure in history, however, he is highly respected among those who knew him best. He is a notable figure in the story and history of Black Los Angeles, along with the Southern California chapter of the Black Panther Party where he served as the Minister of Defense.
